Didn’t do much CNC work over the summer, but with Halloween around the corner I decided to make some decorations for the yard. Making Zero’s doghouse was pretty easy with the CNC. The only part I thought that would be difficult was his face and bones because I wanted to 3D model them. Turned out to be easier than I thought. I found an image online that I could trace with my CNC software, then overlaid two different objects. The first included the ears and excluded the eyes, then the second excluded the ears but didn’t exclude the eyes. Together they gave a really nice 3D shape and the bones were even easier.
With Halloween just a couple weeks away I need to get Jack and Sally done and perhaps some more ‘spider-flakes’.
